THE SHED IN YOUR HEAD: For Y2–Y9: Group size: up to 200. 45’-75’

An interactive session about the magic and power of stories, where they come from and how you can make them come alive. Typically, I will visit a school for a whole school day, attending a book selling/signing session after school. Sometimes I may take an informal session with ‘high-flying’ writers. If I am in a Primary School, I may read, for up to 30 minutes with younger (Foundation Year or Y1 children).

Roy also runs WRITING WORKSHOPS on a variety of themes and WRITING PROJECTS for all ages. These can range in length from a morning to long-term residencies. He has recently worked with:

  • Year 5 classes - producing a BOOK
  • Year 10 students – creating a STAGE PLAY
  • Year 5-6 classes - making a 20’ FILM
  • Year 3-6 classes – creating performance POETRY
  • Year 5 classes – creating an OPERA LIBRETTO
